CORE Academy: Empowering Learning and Knowledge-Sharing Across the Office
This past summer, CORE launched CORE Academy, an initiative aimed at fostering learning and encouraging knowledge-sharing across the office. To date, nine sessions have been hosted, led by five different members of senior staff, including partners, associates, and project managers, with each session welcoming at least 20 attendees. Each session follows a 45-minute format, consisting of a 30-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute group discussion.
Senior staff members volunteer their time to speak on topics they are passionate about, drawing on their professional experience and expertise. These subjects are directly relevant to the day-to-day work of the office and are intended to provide practical insights that can be immediately applied to ongoing projects. This format allows junior staff to gain valuable knowledge, tips, and strategies from a range of senior leaders across the company.
To extend the impact of each session, presentations are recorded for future reference, and presentation PDFs are archived for easy access. Topics covered to date include property lines and grids, shoring systems, ground floor layouts, podium design, slab edge drawings, and Bluebeam tips.
Looking ahead to 2026, CORE Academy aims to build on this momentum by introducing even more sessions, covering additional topics relevant to evolving projects and industry trends. The program will continue to encourage senior staff to share their expertise while providing junior staff with practical tools and strategies to enhance their work. CORE Academy is set to become an integral part of the office culture, helping the entire team stay informed, skilled, and connected as the company moves forward.
