CORE Walks at The Princess Margaret’s Journey to Conquer Cancer in Memory of Partner Gabriela Estrada

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, CORE proudly participated in The Princess Margaret’s Journey to Conquer Cancer walk, alongside family, friends, and colleagues, in loving memory of Partner Gabriela Estrada. The day marked by remembrance, unity, and a shared purpose driven by a common goal: to help end cancer for good.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, Team Gabriela raised $9,636.59 in support of life-saving cancer research. These funds will directly support The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation’s trailblazing efforts and groundbreaking advances in cancer care and treatment, bringing hope to future generations of patients and families affected by cancer.

Team Gabriela was 38 members strong, from our youngest participant, just 11 months old, to long-time colleagues and friends walking side by side in solidarity, joined by our four-legged companions. Through 114 generous donations, we proudly honoured Gabriela’s legacy and made a meaningful contribution to a cause that continues to impact so many lives.

This year’s Journey to Conquer Cancer event saw its highest turnout yet, raising over $1.7 million, bringing the all-time fundraising total to almost $17 million.

Thank you to everyone who donated and supported our team. Together, we are carrying Gabriela’s legacy and taking steps toward a future free from the fear of cancer.
