CORE Takes on the 2026 Heatwave for SickKids Corporate Beach Volleyball Challenge

CORE proudly returned to the sand for the 2026 Heatwave for SickKids Corporate Beach Volleyball Team Challenge!

The annual tournament sees companies from across the GTA come together for a day of beach volleyball while raising critical funds in support of SickKids. For more than 32 years, Heatwave has hosted events dedicated to the cause, helping to fund vital research and treatments in the fight against childhood cancer.

Over the years, Heatwave has provided companies with an opportunity to get involved and give back, while supporting the children and families who rely on SickKids.

This year, CORE joined the competition with two teams, captained by Partner Brian Laye and Project Manager Taylor Balodis. Both teams came ready to compete, going head-to-head with other corporate teams throughout the tournament.

Brian’s Team 1 had a great day on the court, securing several victories throughout their matches, while Taylor’s Team 2 continued the momentum, earning their way into the playoffs and extending their tournament run with two playoff wins. Team 2 ultimately finished third overall, marking CORE’s best result at Heatwave yet!

Beyond the results, the tournament was another opportunity for our team to spend the day together outside the studio while supporting a cause that continues to make a difference for children and families.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, supported our teams and cheered them on throughout the day. We’re proud to continue our support and look forward to returning to the court again next year.
