A pizza slice shaped lot with a frontage of 200’
with no backyard required creative thinking on how to increase the size of outdoor space.
Inner Courtyard
The response was to create an inner courtyard that divided the building into two separate but connected wings along the width of the lot.
Increasing the perception of the space
The added courtyard area was placed onto a space of the backyard making it feel a lot larger than it is.
