Mont Vert
Mont Vert is a two-tower residential development that exemplifies smart urban intensification in Brampton’s growing northwest corridor. Located at 201 Veterans Drive, the project reflects the City’s vision for sustainable and complete communities through design excellence, thoughtful integration, and public realm enhancement.
Mont Vert introduces medium-density housing within a low-rise suburban context, promoting a vibrant, walkable environment. Located near the Mount Pleasant GO Station and surrounded by schools, parks, and retail, the development ensures access to regional mobility and essential services. On-site amenities include landscaped outdoor spaces, indoor communal areas, children’s play zones, and a dedicated pick-up/drop-off zone for a private shuttle to the GO station—supporting a balanced, inclusive lifestyle.
Sustainable Planning
Mont Vert aligns with the Sustainable New Communities Program through energy-efficient systems and environmentally responsive planning. Key features include high-performance building envelopes, low-emissivity glazing, and EV charging infrastructure. The landscape incorporates native species, permeable paving, and green roofs to support biodiversity and minimize environmental impact.
From concept to completion, Mont Vert demonstrates design precision and quality construction. CORE Architects leveraged efficient floorplates, durable materials, and refined detailing to deliver long-term value. The façade blends precast, brick, and aluminum panels in a cohesive, modern palette. The project was delivered on a tight schedule through effective coordination and project management.
Architectural Character
The architectural expression of Mont Vert redefines the area’s mid-rise and high-rise character. Stepped massing and articulated balconies reduce bulk and animate the streetscape. Ground-level residential units with small private terraces front the street, establishing a human scale and active edge. Lobby entrances are oriented to the public realm rather than recessed from the street, enhancing walkability. The use of modern materials and responsive massing creates a dynamic yet functional built form that sets a precedent for infill development in the area.
The project is well integrated into the suburban context through sensitive transitions in height and form. Massing defines street edges and promotes a strong urban frontage along Veterans Drive, while setbacks and landscaping support pedestrian comfort. The two towers are positioned at 90 degrees to one another to maximize sunlight, internal views, and shared open space. Mid-block pedestrian connections improve permeability and align with local street networks.
Accessibility
Mont Vert prioritizes accessibility and diversity through barrier-free access, a mix of unit types, and inclusive amenities. Features support multi-generational living and consider affordability to accommodate a range of household incomes. Communal spaces are designed to be welcoming for residents of all ages and abilities.
As a landmark in Brampton’s northwest growth area, Mont Vert contributes to the city’s evolving identity. It supports the Brampton Plan’s goals for intensification, sustainable development, and complete communities. With bold architecture, a connected public realm, and a focus on livability, MontVert sets a new standard for multi-residential growth in Brampton.
