Ski Day 2026
On Wednesday 14th of January, the CORE team headed north for a much-anticipated Ski Day at Osler Bluff Ski Club, trading desks and screens for snow-covered slopes and crisp mountain air. Before sunrise, skiers and non-skiers alike gathered in the office lobby, with coffee and Timbits provided, ready for a full day of winter fun.
After an early bus ride, the group arrived at Osler Bluff eager to get started. Once lift tickets were collected and equipment rentals sorted, everyone prepared to hit the slopes. From first-time skiers to seasoned veterans, the slopes offered something for every comfort level, while others opted to explore the snowshoeing and hiking trails or lace up their skates for time on the ice rink.
As the day unfolded, colleagues crossed paths between runs and warmed up inside the lodge, enjoying lunch before heading back out for a few more afternoon runs. When the ski lifts closed at 4:00pm, the group gathered back at the chalet for après ski. Appetizers and drinks set the tone for a lively evening as stories from the slopes were exchanged and the evening continued with a sit-down dinner served at 5:30pm, providing the perfect opportunity to unwind and reconnect after a full day outdoors.
As the sun set and the chalet wrapped up for the night, the bus ride home was a mix of singing, conversation, and a few well-earned naps.
Ski Day was a refreshing break from routine and a great reminder of the value of stepping away from our desks to recharge.
